EHS Policy

It's our policy that performing business activities should not adversely affect the safety or health of our employees, the community nor our business partners’ employees, and should fit with the concept of sustainable development. Following the requirement of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and applicable national law and standards, we established our EHS system and granted ISO 14001, ISO 45001 certificates. Besides the good track record of specific EHS inspection initiated by the top multinational pharmaceutical companies, we are proud of passing the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Initiative ( PSCI) inspection and the Silver score of EcoVadis.

EHS system

Environment

Beyond the comprehensive EHS management system, we are the advocate of EHS by Design. The eco-friendly synthesis route, solvents and workup process are always in our consideration when the project initiates. We continuously improve the process to reduce the solvent, waste water and solid, or develop the green chemistry process including flow chemistry, bio catalysis, photochemistry reaction etc., to minimize the impact on the environment and our employees.
Energy saving and emission reduction commitments
"Zhejiang Langhua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has always attached importance to safety, environmental protection, occupational health, and sustainable development of enterprises, and has paid attention to work in these areas:

According to product structure adjustment and company production plan, the company promises to reduce carbon emissions by 20% by 2030（bases on 2020), reduce water consumption per 10,000 yuan output by 25% by 2025（bases on 2020), and reduce solid waste generation per 10,000 yuan output by 50% by 2025（bases on 2020). In 2024, the company will make the following commitments in terms of water consumption control and energy saving: 
1. Water consumption (per 10,000 yuan output): 2024 will be 5.6% lower than 2023,;
2. Energy consumption (per 10,000 yuan output): 2024 will be 2.5% lower than 2023."

We have invested 2 Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO) with the capacity of 30,000 M3/h+20,000 M3/h(back up) already, and we plan to replace the 20,000 M3/h RTO with one new 30,000 M3/h RTO in Q4 2024. And the waste water treatment station with capacity of 2,000 M3/day.

Heath & Safety

Langhua carries through international certification ISO45001, occupational health and safety management system. This system effectively eliminates and reduces staff and other related personnel may suffer from risks related to the activities of comprehensive standard, improving occupational health and safety management, maximum limits and reduces the various injuries and occupational disease, and continuously meets the requirements of the laws and regulations.
